IBM has shipped Meta Integration technology inside its own products since 2003, starting with Cognos and extending across the InfoSphere metadata stack in 2006. Model Bridge supplies the metadata harvesting, impact analysis and end-to-end data lineage that IBM customers use to trace a figure in a report back to the model it came from.
Metadata management
IBM signed an OEM agreement in April 2006 to embed Model Bridge in its data integration and metadata management products. Metadata Workbench draws its cross-tool import options, impact analysis and lineage reporting from those bridges.
