Director of Marketing

Location: Fully Remote (U.S.-based)​

​Role Overview

 

The Director of Marketing is responsible for building, leading, and managing the Meta Integration Technology marketing function. This role owns marketing strategy, positioning, messaging, and prioritization across product marketing, partner marketing, and go-to-market programs.

 

The Director of Marketing defines direction and standards, manages functional owners, and remains accountable for outcomes while delegating execution to dedicated roles.

 

This role is suited for someone who thrives in an early-stage or growth-stage startup environment and is comfortable operating with high autonomy, limited structure, and direct ownership of outcomes. The Director of Marketing is expected to be hands-on in content creation, particularly in the early stages of the marketing function. This role requires deep domain expertise in enterprise data, analytics, business intelligence, metadata, and semantic technologies, as well as the ability to personally author, edit, and shape high-quality technical marketing content that establishes credibility with data and analytics leaders.

 

Core Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Leadership

​

  • Define MetaKarta’s overall marketing strategy, positioning, and messaging framework.

  • Establish priorities across product marketing, partner-led go-to-market motions, and campaigns.

  • Translate company and product objectives into clear, actionable marketing plans

Functional Ownership & Team Management
​
  • Build and manage the marketing organization, including direct management of the Partner Marketing Manager and Marketing & Operations Lead.

  • Set clear role boundaries, priorities, and performance expectations across marketing functions.

  • Delegate execution appropriately while retaining accountability for results.

 

Partner Marketing Oversight
​
  • Own partner marketing strategy, operating model, and prioritization.

  • Define partner segments, value propositions, and standard partner motions.

  • Review and guide partner marketing execution to ensure alignment with overall messaging and go-to-market strategy.

  • Act as the escalation point for strategic partner marketing decisions.

Product & Technical Marketing Oversight

 

  • Ensure Meta Integration Technology’s technical differentiation is clearly and consistently communicated.

  • Oversee creation of product messaging, solution narratives, and sales enablement assets.

  • Align marketing timing and messaging with product roadmap and leadership priorities.

 

Hands-On Content Creation & Domain Expertise

  • Personally author and edit core marketing content, including product narratives, technical blogs, solution briefs, website copy, and thought leadership materials.

  • Serve as a domain expert in enterprise data management, analytics platforms, BI ecosystems, and semantic technologies.

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, credible messaging for technical and executive audiences.

  • Establish and maintain a high bar for accuracy, depth, and technical integrity across all marketing content.

 

Marketing Systems & Automation Ownership

  • Own the planning, configuration, and implementation of marketing automation and CRM tooling.

  • Design and maintain automated workflows supporting campaigns, partner motions, pipeline tracking, and reporting.

  • Ensure marketing systems scale effectively as the company grows.

 

Management of Outsourced Marketing Functions
​
  • Select, onboard, and manage outsourced marketing resources, including agencies, contractors, and specialized service providers.

  • Define clear scopes of work, success criteria, and operating expectations for external partners.

  • Ensure all outsourced work aligns with Meta Integration Technology strategy, messaging standards, and quality bar.

  • Actively manage performance, budgets, and outcomes for external marketing vendors.

 

Measurement & Optimization

  • Define success metrics across marketing functions, including pipeline contribution and partner influence.

  • Continuously refine strategy based on performance data and market feedback.

  • A scalable marketing operating model that supports both direct and partner-led growth.

  • Clear delegation with strong execution across marketing functions, including outsourced partners.

  • High-quality, technically credible content authored or directly shaped by the Director of Marketing.

  • Clear and differentiated market positioning grounded in deep domain expertise.

  • A modern, automated marketing foundation that supports scale without unnecessary headcount growth.

  • Consistent alignment between product roadmap, messaging, and go-to-market execution.

  • Marketing outcomes that are measurable and tied to pipeline contribution and partner influence.

 

Qualifications

​

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing, including senior leadership roles.

  • Proven experience working in startup or early-stage growth environments, with direct responsibility for helping companies grow and scale.

  • Demonstrated domain expertise in enterprise data, analytics, BI platforms such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Google Looker, MicroStrategy, SAP BusinessObjects, or IBM Cognos

  • Experience with Semantic Layers such as Atscale, Cube or Others highly desired

  • Proven ability to personally create and refine technical marketing content.

  • Hands-on experience designing, configuring, and implementing marketing automation and CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo).

  • Highly self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.

 

Compensation

​

  • Base Salary: $165,000 – $195,000 (U.S.)

  • This role is eligible for a performance-based bonus aligned with company and marketing outcomes. Equity participation may be offered as part of the total compensation package, subject to role level, experience, and company equity plans.
